Put a little PREP in your step

I wore this outfit out to dinner the other night and it was so comfortable. I usually don’t dress preppy, because it’s not my style, but I loved how this striped turtleneck looked under the chambray shirt dress. To dress up the whole look I added a little bit of bling with the belt and necklace (this necklace and I can’t seem to part ways lately). See below for outfit details:

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I went to my parents house for the weekend, and came back feeling refreshed and stuffed. I think I ate Thanksgiving leftovers for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!! This poncho was just what I needed to cover up my food baby, I think I had twins in there.. Pictured with me is my selfie queen of a little sister who I always have so much fun with. Not pictured is my older sister, who takes all of my pictures. I am so thankful for BOTH of them. This post is all about my Fall favorites. I got this sweater last year during the Nordstrom Fall Clearance Sale (which is currently going on right now!) and it is my “go-to” pullover. I throw it on over everything, including, tights, leggings, jeans, skirts, dresses.. the list goes on.  I’m also wearing my favorite purple lipstick, which takes any look from casual to dramatic… and who doesn’t love a little drama on their Wednesday? These leggings are a personal “must have” of mine, I love them so much that  I have 2 pairs!

Lipstick Smashbox (color: ‘Pout’)

Black Leggings J. Crew

Over-the-Knee Boots • Chinese Laundry

No bikini November

Fall Fashion 2015 | November 10, 2015 | By

I went to the beach over this past weekend with my sister, and it was so beautiful! You never think to go during the Fall time because it’s chilly, but it was definitely worth it. I pictured myself, for just one moment, throwing on my favorite bikini (which by the way is so cheap at the moment) and jumping in… maybe in December haha! But in all honesty, life was good in this crop top and sunnies.

Crop Sweater • Zara (sold out, similar here)
Gold Collar Necklace • J. Crew (similar here and here)
Cat’s-Eye Sunglasses • Prada (personal favorite!!)

My sister has the most beautiful hybrid hydrangeas that she works so hard to grow every year. Last time I was over, I couldn’t help but pick a few while she wasn’t looking (haha!)… I’ll probably have to ignore her calls after I post this (whoops! isn’t that what younger sisters are for?!). I just couldn’t resist because they looked so pretty up against the pale pink bag I was wearing (this one is old, but similar herehere & here).

Cross-body bag • old color, but similar herehere & here

Sweater (seriously SO comfortable and less that $25) • Nordstrom Rack

Jeans • AG

Ankle Boots • Steve Madden (similar, here)

Hat • J. Crew Factory

The jacket I am wearing is seriously my ABSOLUTE favorite rain jacket. It’s made out of HELOX+ fabric, and it’s the most comfortable and chic coat I have ever owned.

Plaid Blanket Scarf

This week I’ll be showing you the different ways I wear my blanket scarf. I know this trend has been dominating the blogosphere, so I am going to give you some unique ideas on how to change it up and make this look your own. So STAY tuned this week.

One trend that is going to be hitting my blog a lot this year is the belt. I love belting everything, whether it be a jacket, scarf or sweater. Some of my favorite belts are herehere, and here.

In this post, I used one of my absolute favorite belts that has not left my closet in years. I took the blanket scarf, wrapped it around my shoulders and threw the belt around my waist. Not only does it make the look more chic, but it also adds definition to your waist.

Bracelets • Alex and Ani, shop my favorite one here
Sunglasses • Tory Burch
Belt • I’ve had this BCBG one forever, similar here
Booties • Sam Edelman

Twirling in White

Fall Fashion 2015 | September 4, 2015 | By

Yes, this dress is just as much fun to twirl around in as it looks. I love this dress so much, I have it in 3 different colors. I love wearing it to semi-fancy dinners/events because the silk material gives off just the perfect amount of shine. See below for outfit details!
